Phase 2 learns from phase 1 and the Victoria Street – Highett Street section to form a hybrid system with market, restaurants, stores, professional vertical gardens for farmers, shared public garden for residents, private garden for residents, studio apartments with large garden spaces for the elderly who grows a lot of produce and 2-3 bedroom, duplex+ triplex apartments, each with private spaces for gardening.
Building 1 – showcase of urban agriculture and self-sustained living Building 2 – celebrating urban agricultural community
The market is used for selling and exchange of locally produced vegetables and fruits, or anyone that is willing to sell their own produce or even the fish from Yarra River!
How Richmond will relate to The Melbourne Section - Hawthorn educational suburb to educate children of urban farming, teaching them the future way of sustainable living, Box Hill as a cultural exchange of food and produce, Ringwood as a production hub for prototyping the new vertical garden and planter boxes, Irrigation and filtration system from Lilydale, vegetation and agricultural materials support from Healesville, and the showcase of urban farming in the CBD
